As VP of Operations, NSC Austin, Dr. Littell incorporates his clinical, administrative, and management skills to successfully direct the services provided to plan members and clients, provide clinical direction and leadership to senior Care Managers and perform programmatic evaluations.
Dr. Littell has co-authored three published journal articles on developmental attention systems and the effects of wavelength and wavelength specific interventions on the performance of attention-disordered and normal children for reading disabilities. Before joining MHNet in 1996, Dr. Littell was an instructor in the Psychology Department of the University of New Orleans.
Dr. Littell earned his undergraduate degree (with honors) in Psychology, including minors in both Philosophy and Counseling, and his MS degree in Psychology from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1979 and 1981, respectively. He was a member of Psi Honor Society in 1980. Dr. Littell received a Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology in 1994 from the University of New Orleans. At the University of New Orleans from 1991 to 1994, Dr. Littell assisted in research activities focusing on childhood developmental disabilities and assisted in grant writing and publication of research results. Project activities were presented at the Society for Research and Child Development’s 1993 Annual Meeting. He was awarded the Andrew Wensel Scholarship Award in 1993. Dr. Littell completed a post-doctoral Fellowship at Southeast Louisiana Hospital’s Children’s Services Department.
